In a surprising social media post, Bethesda revealed that it has donated a bundle to the Make-A-Wish Foundation's auction. The highest bidder for the company’s package will have the opportunity to make a character for Starfield . In addition, the auction winner will walk away with an Xbox Series X, recalling that Bethesda recently announced that it would be acquired by the console’s creators , and visit sixteen titles from the studio. Several of the games seem to come from some of Bethesda’s most popular franchises including The Elder Scrolls, Wolfenstein , and Doom . At the time of writing, the ongoing bidding for the Bethesda bundle is just north of $2,000. Interestingly, the auction’s website goes into slightly more detail about what the winner can expect than the studio's post. It states that the highest bidder can look forward to working with the team behind the game, naming Todd Howard specifically, and that the winner should expect to " schedule time to create the character within 3 months of 2/28/202

It would’ve been an unprecedented event in the gaming industry if a huge publisher would’ve said that its upcoming title wasn’t worth the wait. In other words, Bethesda’s statement consists of what players want to hear about Starfield , but it delivers zero new information about the game. The reveal, however, should be huge when it finally happens. Considering Bethesda’s tradition of keeping secrets for as long as needed and then showcasing explosive trailers packed with tons of details and gameplay demos, Starfield ’s anticipated reveal will definitely offer a lot to chatter about. When exactly it is going to happen, though, is a complete myst

Both CP2077 and Starfield feature branching narratives that can lead you to discover new things depending on your choices or character stats. And while the latter has an emphasis on Factions and exploration as a whole, you can find just about that same kind of magic here. If you're looking to really witness how the devs went miles ahead in their morally-conflicting narrative experiences, the Phantom Liberty expansion doubles down on that with its noir-thriller storytell

Bethesda has consistently made headlines over the last few months. The biggest shock came in September of last year when it was revealed that Microsoft had agreed to acquire ZeniMax Media in a deal worth $7.5 billion. This gave the Xbox parent company ownership not just of franchises such as Fallout , The Elder Scrolls , and DOOM but also of famous developers like Bethesda Game Studios and id Software. Now, it seems that Microsoft will also reap the benefits of Bethesda's foray into AAA licensed games, a future many could have not foreseen of the RPG stu

In the years that followed Starfield 's announcement, the company has not greatly expanded fan’s knowledge of what to expect for the title. After the news hit last month that Bethesda had been tapped to work on the new Indiana Jones game, many worried that games like Starfield would be pushed back . Bethesda’s Pete Hines was quick to assure players after the announcement that the publisher and developer was still focused on its other new IP. This sentiment has recently been backed by one industry insider who claims to have reason to believe Starfield could be coming out during the latter half of this ye

Of course, it is not just the fact that Bethesda has announced it is working on licensed titled in mainstream franchises like Indiana Jones that worries gamers. There has been very little news about either Starfield or The Elder Scrolls 6 for some time. In fact, fans have had to make do with cryptic Tweets about the follow-up to Skyrim in the absence of concrete information. Meanwhile, Starfield has also been notably missing from major gaming events in recent times, but Todd Howard did confirm that it would be the studio's biggest game to d

Bear with me if you're an Oblivion or Skyrim fan ; I wanted to switch things up and kick us off with Morrowind , an RPG from Bethesda's golden-age catalog that is unapologetically cozy and oozes with charm despite the dated gamep

Bethesda has made a promise to players claiming that its sci-fi RPG Starfield , currently in development, will be worth the long wait. That’s probably enough to inspire the fan community a little bit, especially considering that pretty much nothing specific has been revealed about the game so

Although Starfield delivered somewhat on being the most ambitious entry in the genre, KCD2 just has way more depth, immersion, and realism in its RPG mechanics and simulation gameplay . It's 15th-century Bohemia setting feels alive—NPCs have believable routines, political systems matter, and you even have a better notoriety system with clear rules and logic for committing treason or other cri

Many consider Red Dead Redemption 2 to be Rockstar's magnum opus, and rightfully so, considering it's one of the best representations of a meticulously designed open world title. To this day, you'll find fans and critics praising not just the story but also how utterly rich and dense the attention to detail is at the c
